The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Although some people may find their relaxed nature and availability 24/7 a negative, I think it works quite well at Quest Ballarat Mews. Its location is good, opposite Sovereign Hill, and only a short walk to restaurants and fast food, or a short drive to others, the city centre and other attractions.
The size and the amenities. Plus it was very warm and cosy.
The room was well presented and had everything we needed. We took our own breakfast things. It was next to our wedding venue which was great so we did. Not need to take our car.We enjoyed the night. It also had the best security.we would definitly stay again
Friendliness and cooperation of the management. Quietness and the cleanliness of the entire establishment.
Comfortable lounge suite. Plenty of room. Comfortable beds. Clean. Well positioned for visiting my daughter who is attending University at Ballarat this year (1st year).
The only thing which was a bit off putting was the fact that the Manager who was on whilst we were there was sitting around smoking alot (in grounds). Rooms are non smoking, so maybe whole venue should be!
Apartment was spacious & very comfortable, well set-up. Management helpful & made us feel welcome.
The friendly staff and the quiet court yard, along with the cleanliness of the room
Need a toilet down stairs
The bathroom was good which is always a plus for me. Very close to Sovereign Hill so we could just walk across and given that was the reason for our trip to Ballarat it worked out perfectly.
The smoke alarm went off every time you cooked a piece of toast. A warning about its sensitivity might have been good.
The staff were very friendly and ameniable, the apartment was in good order and spacious, and I would recommend it highly particularly if you were attending Sovereign Hill, as we were.
Very quiet clean and friendly i wish our stay was longer
Spacious and well equiped with all needed for a weekend break with family.
It is not new, but it is ok to use for sleeping and having dinner.
Well organised before arrival and very clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed the stay!!!
Simplicity of booking and checkout, cleanlines
Squeaky upstairs floorboards.
It was great.
Heating wasn't very good - for such a cold place.
As a family of four having an apartment meant that we had more space than if we chose a hotel. We could also utilse the kitchen that had everything we needed to make our own breakfast and snacks before a day of tourist activities. We could wash and dry clothes as needed. The service by Reception was fantastic. They assisted us with tickets for a show and provided storage and car parking whilst we left Ballarat to stay a few days in Melbourne. The kids loved the upstairs, downstairs layout. The location is perfect if you want to spend time at Sovereign Hill. It is walking distance to the town and there are a range of shops and restaurants around to cater for food needs.
One: There were cobwebs inside the bathroom window. I noticed this when I was trying to open a window to let some of the steam from the dryer escape.
